If you ask a group of people what they would do if they won the lottery, a large percentage of them are going to answer “travel”. This indicates that we should all be trying to work travel into our regular lives. It’s something that we long for more of.

The problem for a lot of people is that they use their travel time to go to the same places over and over again. They go to Disneyland. They go to visit Mom and Dad. They don’t get creative in making sure to visit the places that they’d really love to see.

To get yourself on track with traveling to the places that interest you, sit down and make a top ten list. Include only those places that you most want to see. Think of it this way - if you only get to go on ten more vacations for the rest of your life then where would you go.

My list actually does include a trip to see Mom and Dad. That type of travel is important to me. But it also includes some random destinations like the Banff Canadian Rockies, the islands of Greece and somewhere in Iceland. Since I know what’s on my list, I can make plans to really go there. I don’t have to win the lottery for that.
