Making Use of Our Land Inheritance
By MarkBook in Technology | 0 comments
Last week, my family inherited a vast area of hand that I inherited from my parents. It was a nice area beside a pine forest with a beautiful river crossing it.
We had been thinking hard what to with it and we had environmental concerns in our mind. Our final decision was to convert a portion of it into a farm where we will raise cows, pigs and chickens.
And it occurred to us that we could use the manure for fertilizer so we set aside another portion for plants.
My wife’s uncle lent us his portable screening plant so we could work on the soil. The portion of land near the river was fertile but was mixed with gravel. We used a gravel screener so we could separate the fertile soil that we were going to use for the plants.
We also got some soil near the pines and used a compost screen to gather the decayed components rich with nutrients.
My wife’s uncle’s device was so amazing it made our job so fast. I hope our farm will not just be environment-friendly but sustainable as well. I look forward to retiring in this farm and eating healthy fruits and vegetables from the harvest.
