Artificial Trees Are Better

Artificial Christmas trees are really the answer for a lot of us. Not that we’re scrooges or anything, but at least out where I live, real trees are terribly expensive, usually already dried out and often weak and spindly-looking. Don’t get me wrong-I love real trees and the smell of them. But then again, I have 32 Ponderosa Pines on my property, so I can do without.
What I can also do without are the allergens. It’s true! I didn’t know this until I saw it on the news, but when those cut real trees fill with water and then sit in water, they grow a bit of mold that gets into the air, not to mention the allergens and dust that got brought in with the tree in the first place.
I also really like how they support the Christmas tree lights better. Real trees begin to sag at the tips over several days. But the most important thing to me is the allergen issue. Well, that and never having to freeze in a tree lot looking at trees that were transported and that maybe even froze already-hiding a soon-to-be dead spot that will drop needles like crazy!
