I don’t know if you have ever worked in a retail store during the Christmas shopping season, but let me tell you, you should try it out. If you have ever felt frantic as a shopper finding those last minute gifts, you should try being the sales clerk that is helping you out – it is definitely something else.
I never understood the point of view of the sales clerk until this year when I took a seasonal position working at a retail store. I thought it would be a great way to get out of the home and actually interact with people – something that my home business just doesn’t give me. The money wasn’t going to be anything to get excited about, but I thought that the experience would be worth it.
I had a wonderful time helping men and women decide what to get their significant other for a gift. You see, I was assigned to sell gold jewelry. I had no experience doing it, but it really wasn’t too hard to pickup, and I had a blast.
I would have to say that I have been really happy for the opportunity to learn how easy selling gold could be and I think that it will be something I will try again next year. Maybe next year I can learn something new.

LEED training is a type of education that you can get to assist you in passing exams that give you LEED certification. This is great for people who want to work in green business. The training is similar to the training you would get to pass advanced exams like the LSAT or MCAT.
What should you look for when choosing a place to do your training? The following things are a good start:
- High-quality LEED-certified instructors. You need to learn from people who already know what you’re trying to learn.
- A high pass rate. Look for a training institute that is known for passing at least ninety percent of its students on their first time taking the LEED exam. This is a good sign that you’ll get adequate training to pass the test.
- Certificate of completion. On the off chance that you don’t pass the test at least you will have a piece of paper proving that you have studied the material and completed the course.
- Study sheets and practice questions. You want to take a class that is going to provide you with all of the study materials that you could possibly need.
- Affordability. Don’t take a LEED class that is more expensive than what you can afford.

One of the things that is always really interesting to learn about any career is what motivates people to enter that career. For example, what would cause someone to decide to become an audiologist?
Some of the reasons that a person might pursue a career in audiology include:
- They have firsthand experience with hearing problems. Someone who had to wear a hearing aid his whole life or whose mother was deaf might choose to become an audiologist because of a personal connection with the benefits of the career.
- General interest in science and / or medicine. People often move from general interests into specific careers because certain opportunities open up for them while they are in school.
- Interested in music and sound. People who like music but who want a career that is more lucrative than being a musician might pursue work in audiology since the study of hearing and sound is somewhat relevant to this interest of theirs.
One great way to learn about whether or not a career might be right for you is to find out why the people who do that job decided to get into doing it in the first place. If you find yourself in any of these categories then audiology might be right for you.

A good friend of mine is looking into online pa programs so that she can become a physician’s assistant without having to attend a campus-based school. There are many benefits for her to attending an online medical school rather than a school that requires her to go to class. One benefit that I didn’t even think of until she mentioned it is that it means that she will be able to travel while she’s in school. This travel can actually benefit her in her career.
The main thing that she wants to be able to do is to travel to work part-time in a third world country. She wants to be able to do work with people who really need a physician’s assistant to help them in their daily lives. Going to school online would mean that she could complete her degree while also getting this kind of hands-on experience in a developing nation.
She also believes that she would be able to get a good sense of whether or not she wants to do the job that she thinks that she wants to do. That’s because she hopes to be able to eventually work as a traveling nurse. She’s not sure yet that traveling all of the time for work is right for her though. Traveling while attending school online will help her to figure that out.

One of the first signs that I had that I was growing old was my hearing started to get worse. I can remember that it started happening when I turned the ripe old age of 25 and progressively got worse in my thirties. But it wasn’t until I turned thirty five that things started to get really bad.
Once I hit 35, I started to really notice my inability to hear. The first day that I really noticed was June 4th when I stepped outside to get the paper in the morning. As I bent down to pickup the paper, I noticed that it was quiet.
Too quiet.
In fact, I could see birds in the trees and I couldn’t hear them chirping. Even the neighbor’s dog was barking and I could barely hear it. It was at that point I realized that I needed to do something about my lack of hearing before there were real problems.
So, I went to talk to my doctor about hearing aids. I figured that it would be the best step for me and after consulting with the doctor, he thought so too. But I had no idea which one would be best to me, so he gave me some pamphlets that had hearing aids comparisons so that I could make an educated decision.
It was one of the best decisions that I made in my life and I was so happy to hear again. Like they say, you don’t realize how much you will miss something until it is gone.
