A good friend of mine is looking into online pa programs so that she can become a physician’s assistant without having to attend a campus-based school. There are many benefits for her to attending an online medical school rather than a school that requires her to go to class. One benefit that I didn’t even think of until she mentioned it is that it means that she will be able to travel while she’s in school. This travel can actually benefit her in her career.
The main thing that she wants to be able to do is to travel to work part-time in a third world country. She wants to be able to do work with people who really need a physician’s assistant to help them in their daily lives. Going to school online would mean that she could complete her degree while also getting this kind of hands-on experience in a developing nation.
She also believes that she would be able to get a good sense of whether or not she wants to do the job that she thinks that she wants to do. That’s because she hopes to be able to eventually work as a traveling nurse. She’s not sure yet that traveling all of the time for work is right for her though. Traveling while attending school online will help her to figure that out.

One of the first signs that I had that I was growing old was my hearing started to get worse. I can remember that it started happening when I turned the ripe old age of 25 and progressively got worse in my thirties. But it wasn’t until I turned thirty five that things started to get really bad.
Once I hit 35, I started to really notice my inability to hear. The first day that I really noticed was June 4th when I stepped outside to get the paper in the morning. As I bent down to pickup the paper, I noticed that it was quiet.
Too quiet.
In fact, I could see birds in the trees and I couldn’t hear them chirping. Even the neighbor’s dog was barking and I could barely hear it. It was at that point I realized that I needed to do something about my lack of hearing before there were real problems.
So, I went to talk to my doctor about hearing aids. I figured that it would be the best step for me and after consulting with the doctor, he thought so too. But I had no idea which one would be best to me, so he gave me some pamphlets that had hearing aids comparisons so that I could make an educated decision.
It was one of the best decisions that I made in my life and I was so happy to hear again. Like they say, you don’t realize how much you will miss something until it is gone.

There seems to be a big push right now to find athletes that are using steroids. Three professional athletes have been publicly accused of steroid use just in the past week or two. Those athletes were:
- Tiger Woods. This guy is just ripe for any kind of scandal right now so it’s not even that surprising that people are spreading rumors that he might have been using some kind of steroids or hgh supplements.
- Manny Pacquiao. This Filipino professional boxer is facing accusations from his competitors that he has been using performance enhancing drugs such as steroids.
- Chris Simms. This quarterback for the Broncos is under investigation for the illegal use of steroids or related drugs. He had seen the same doctor as Woods did which is one reason they are both under investigation.
It should be noted that all of these reports throw together the possibility that the athletes are either using hgh or using steroids. However, these two things are not the same thing and shouldn’t be lumped together. (For one thing, hgh side effects are considerably lower.) This hints at the fact that the people accusing these athletes of steroid use are covering their bases and really don’t know what (if anything) the athletes have taken at all.

I recently went to a lecture that I wanted to leave even before it began. There was something about the speaker’s monotone voice and the stuffy setting of the room that made me certain in advance that I wasn’t going to be interested by this talk. Nevertheless, I stuck around.
I won’t pretend that the talk didn’t bore me. That monotone voice never improved. I was restless throughout much of the lecture. The topic was green building which is something that interests me but the way that the topic was approached by this particular speaker just couldn’t keep my attention. Throughout the event, I kept looking at the clock on my cell phone and wondering how rude it would be to spend the hour texting people.
However, after I left the lecture, I discovered that I had learned a little bit. I met a friend for lunch and was telling her how boring the talk had been. Then I found myself saying that at least I had learned something interesting about green lighting. Suddenly I found myself discussing the pros and cons of high pressure sodium light bulbs and giving my friend some information about what a metal halide ballast is. I didn’t know that until I went to the talk. This just goes to show that you can learn something from anything even if you aren’t really trying too hard.
