Wonderful Movie

I just watched the new animated Wonder Woman movie put out by Warner Brothers and I must say, I’m impressed.

After sitting through the swill known as Justice League: The New Frontier, I didn’t have high hopes for any project the WB decided to put their dirty fingers on.  In case you were lucky enough to miss The New Frontier, this was the movie that took everything great and mature about the Justice League and ruined it.  It was way too kiddie-even for kiddies!  I actually watched it the first time with my seven year old nephew and he turned to me half way through and said confidently, “This sucks.”

Well, thankfully, Wonder Woman doesn’t suck.  It has that ability certain movies have to appeal to both the younger and older generation of audience members (think Shrek and The Emperor’s New Groove).

It got me thinking though, what if these immortal women, the Amazons, used their eternal life for more sinister gains (more sinister than freeing Ares, the god of war)?  What if they just accrued interest from a small bank account for thousands of years, earning them thousands of dollars in American currency they didn’t have to lift a finger for?

What if they invested in a life insurance policy that slowly grew and grew until they decided to cash out?  But would an insurance company even approve an Amazon for term life insuranceShrek didn’t make me think this hard.

The Emperor’s New (LAME) Groove is not to be counted with the likes of Shrek! I take great offense at this categorization. Shrek is a clever, funny movie with a good sense of humor, and the Emperor’s New Groove went for easy, empty laughs. Pass!

The Justice league definitely rocks, even if the movie didn’t. Personally I can’t wait for the Iron Man franchise to continue down the line to the Avengers; that’s going to be seriously unbelievable. I can’t wait!

I’m even a girl and I think Wonder Woman is a little lame. I mean, granted, I thought the whole, Summer dressing up as Wonder Woman for Seth’s birthday present on the OC was super cute, but I’m kind of over Wonder Woman.

Superheroes are so over. Seriously, what did they do, fall in a vat of radioactive material? Whatever. I think the Transformers are unbelievably cool, and I can’t wait to go see the Revenge of the Fallen. How amazing does that sound? Gives me chills.

The Justice League was totally amazing! It wasn’t as good as some other comic book movies, but you have to give it the credit it deserves. You probably didn’t like it because you’re not familiar with the history and the backstory that informs a true fan.

I think that would be a totally pimp way to make money. Just let a high interest CD roll over for like a millenia; just make sure to find a bank that’s going to be around for a while…and probably manage your accounts online. Or send your “son” or “daughter” as a signatory for the account.

The Justice League is totally weak. If you want to read a real comic book sometime, check out Watchmen; now THEY are a group of superheroes that are baaaaad. I would never want to end up on the wrong side of the Watchmen. Or the Avengers. I can’t wait for the next Iron Man movie!
