While many types of yoga originated in India, Dahn yoga, a combination of yoga and Dahnhak, (a method of healing) was created in Korea.
What Does Dahn Yoga Consists Of?
Dahn yoga integrates the following exercises:
- “Meridian Stretching,” which is similar to calisthenics. This specific type of stretching is intended to stimulate the body’s energy.
- Deep breathing
- Relaxation
- Martial arts (Qigong)
- Meditation
Dahn yoga practitioners believe that if a person consistently practices Dahn yoga, he or she will activate a certain level of energy. This energy will actually vibrate throughout the body.
