Professional Image

I have been in real estate a long time. In fact, it has been about ten years since I first became a Realtor. Bumps in the market don’t even affect me much since I am the designated broker of my own real estate company. But none of my experience, expertise or knowledge matters if I don’t have a professional image.

Granted, the market that I work in is not one where you would need to get all dressed up. It is not at all like New York City where a Realtor would have on a nice black suit with a tie. In fact, in my market you never see Realtors dressed like that. I usually stick with a nice new looking pair of jeans and a pressed Hawaiian shirt.

I have recently realized though that I am lacking in one area when it comes to a professional image. My teeth really are not that great. I guess you could say that I need a smile makeover. Unfortunately, I am scared to death of going to the dentist. Maybe that is why I am in the position that I am in! Now I realize that they have more comfortable dental care now than at any other time in the past. But I have to admit that I am really scared about the prospect of going to see a cosmetic dentist.

If you look at the overwhelming benefits to you for having cosmetic dentistry done it may help overcome those fears. Not only will you have a great smile but your self esteem and confidence will rise as well which can only help you in the real estate industry. Take the leap, get it done.

The real estate business is a rough career right now with the economy being the way it is and anything you can do will help. I have found that the way buyers feel about their realtor is almost as important as the home they are trying to buy. Improving your appearance can will definately help their impression of you.

I ran into an old colleague of mine a few months ago. He was in outside sales and always had pretty bad teeth. When I saw him, they were really nice. He said he realized a good smile went a long way towards making a professional impression on others. Smart move.

I agree with you. Who would want to buy a home from a Gomer Pyle look-alike? Your appearance is the impresssion that will make or break a deal. Find the best Dentistry service you can afford, it’s an investment in your future.

I can’t say that if my real estate agent had bad teeth I’d get rid of him. I guess a good smile builds confidence and confidence breeds success. But I wouldn’t hire someone just because their teeth weren’t perfect. Would you?
