Hair replacement for men like my Grandfather
By bookish in Health | 1 comment
As I recall the summers I spent at my Grandparents farm, it never occurred to me what sort of effects, mental and physical, that my Grandfather might have been going through related to his baldness.
The time frame was the mid to late 50’s in mid-west America, and options like hair replacement surgery were just not an option for folks like Grandpa. And to be honest, I’m not sure how he might have even reacted to the concept.
In his time, it just seemed to be an established fact that men worked hard to provide for the family, and certain aspects of life were just that, a part of life. Hair replacement for men might have been around back then, and if it was, it surely was not for the working, blue collar man. Most likely being concerned about baldness was for those of a more vain ilk.
Thanks to modern science and top notch hair replacement facilities, issues like hair transplant cost is much less of a factor when considering correcting the deficiencies that Nature has given.
No longer do men (and women for that matter) of elevated age need to be concerned about adding one more age related stressor to their lives. Science and the application of technology have the answer.
