It Is Possible to Find A Good Affordable Hotel

You might think that you have to go to hotels that land within a certain price range to be assured that they’ll be decent.  And I might have agreed with you at one time.  I’ve stayed in a Super 8 that had filthy halls and that smelled like marijuana. I walked right back out of a room in Santa Fe because the bedroom was literally broken down.  I stopped at a hotel at 2 in the morning in Gallup that looked like a cross between a toll booth and a salvage yard.  And on my wedding night when we couldn’t stand staying with relatives another minute, we left early to start travelling toward the airport but then stopped to sleep and “whatnot” a couple of hours at a Motel 6 that was about the quality of a trailer.  And all four of these were in nice areas of town!

However, hotels in a budget price range aren’t all like that.  When I stayed at the Sleep Inn hotel in Durham, I was quite pleased.  So pleased, in fact, that I looked for a Sleep Inn for my friends to stay when they visited me here in Castle Rock.  My friends had stayed at a little Holiday Inn Express the visit before, but the hotel got way too full of itself and jacked its prices way too high.  Why don’t chains realize that once you have a bad experience, it’s over for good-and when you have a good one, you’re loyal for life?
