Having a backyard pool is great fun for the whole family.  Here are a few things you can do in your backyard pool.

1. Sunbathe.  Get one of those rafts, set yourself adrift, and soak up some rays.
2. Read.  Okay, I’m a bookworm, but I can’t imagine a better place to kick back with a good book than in the middle of a cool pool with the warm sun on my skin.  Hello, summer vacation, here I come!
3. Have a party.  Laughing, splashing kids.  Or adults, for that matter — you’re never too old for some backyard pool fun!
4. Play games.  Marco Polo, pool volleyball and hoops, and other games are great hits in the backyard pool.
5. Swimming races.  See who can make it to the other side first, who can swim underwater while holding their breath the longest, etc.

Having a backyard pool is a lot of fun!  If you don’t have one, I suggest contacting a Florida pool contractor to find out about getting one.  It’ll pay off when you sell the house, so it’s worth the investment now to enjoy it in the meantime.

When contacting a Tampa, Fort Myers, or Orlando pool contractor, be sure you ask if they do free quotes.  I suggest getting as many Jacksonville pool builders as you can to come and give you quotes — not necessarily to pick the cheapest one, but to compare quality and services and choose the company you like best.

Having a pool is definitely worth it, so at least get a few free quotes — you’ve got nothing to lose except a little of your time!
