You never know the type of people that you will meet at the poker table.  Poker attracts people from all over the world and in every walk of life.  Sometimes you will have wealthy bankers all the way to those that are one step away from being homeless.  It boggles the mind at the vast array of people you will meet.For example, I met a man that ran a diploma framing business.  I didn’t know you could make a living on such a specialized field.  He states that he used to work in general framing work, but diploma and graduation picture frame work was so lucrative that he just focused on that.

I have also met many doctors, lawyers, and even a politician or two at the table.  I met the mayor of a small town in Nebraska a few years ago that was in Atlantic City on vacation.  He was a great guy and actually liked the fact he was somewhere where nobody knew who he was.Of course, I have played with big name celebrities as well.  James Woods and I have shared the table in some tournaments.  Shannon Elizabeth played at my table at the World Series of Poker.  She is a much better player than many people give her credit for.You just never know who you will face when you sit down at the poker table.  That’s what makes live poker so exciting.
