Installing Your Laminate Floor
By Bookmark in Education | 0 comments
Here are a few tips when installling your laminate floor:
- Before you install your laminate floor, remove your previous flooring, and assure subfloor is level. You can do this with a laser level.
- When working with a concrete subfloor, it’s important to protect from moisture using a moisture barrier. Make sure it overlaps and is held together uings duct tape. You may need to install an underpad.
- Product and expand and contract. Let the floor acclimate for 72 hours before insallation. Inspect boards for defects. It’s a good idea to have an additional 10% product to account for loss of product due to defects.
- Stagger the boards and maintain minimal length for end boards.
