My buddy Jason is currently remodeling his basement and plans to make the entire area a guy zone. I am jazzed and look forward to receiving many hall passes from my wife so I can hang with Jason in paradise. Some cool items that I’ve seen in basement are home bars where people add their own keg and beer tap-nice! I can’t wait until its Miller Time.
Jason is deciding whether he’ll have either a pool table or a ping pong table. Of course he will also have a big screen plasma or LCD television and couch area where we can hang out and watch unlimited sports. He is also installing an enormous built in aquarium and he’s purchasing crazy exotic fish for the tank; I think an eel is even part of the set up.
Jason and his wife must have either just won the lottery or have been successfully reading the Wall Street Journal, because suddenly they have an abundance of cash for this project. Furthermore, while Jason works on his basement, his wife is out shopping for a new bedroom set. I don’t care where the funds come from, I’m just happy to be along for the ride.

I wish I could do this to my basement! One of my old friends made is basement into a “guys” room and it was awsome. He had a big screen tv, a bar, and pool table. The guys would always get together every saturday night and just hang out and get away from everything.

I made over my basement about a year ago and it changed my life! It is so nice to have somewhere where you can just get away from everything and relax for alittle while. For anyone who has a basement I would recommend making it into a place where you can relax and get away.

I have been trying to talk my wife into letting me change out basement into a game room. I think it would be great for both me and my wife and our kids. She doesnt think it would be a good idea but I have been wanting to do it for years. I am going to have her read this blog and maybe it will change her mind. Wish me luck!
